Annihilator Online Slot Review
Progressive Jackpot: No
Provider: Play ‘N Go
You’d think with the name of the game, you’d be facing a game that features war machines and weapons of destruction. If you’re not from Canada, you won’t realize offhand that the game is actually one that revolves around one of the highest selling metal bands in the region. The band features four members, although only the lead of the band can be seen on the reels of this slot machine.
The game’s design takes you the outside of an abandoned and creepy mansion, with the gates wide open and lightning flashing every now and then. The game has a rather horror-movie-like vibe and the symbols on the reels reflect this vibe as well. Like most Play ‘N Go slot machines, this game has a control panel at the bottom of the screen. The Spin and Auto Play buttons are situated on the right while the Information button is found on the far left.
If you want to play hands-free, all you have to do is to click the Auto Play button, choose how many spins you want to launch, and sit back as the reels spin. Aside from the Spin, Information, and Auto Play buttons, the control panel also has a section where you can change you bet. Bet as low as .10 or as high as 100 per spin. To change your bet, click on the plus and minus arrows, which are found on opposite ends of this bet panel.
The symbols of this game feature not only the lead member of the band but a few other scary symbols that make the game creepy yet fun. There are low paying and high paying symbols on the reels and these include band-related items as well as horror-story centered symbols. For the low paying symbols, the usual card numbers from 10 to Ace are on the reels. For the high paying symbols, you will find images like a statue of a crying mother with a baby, a chained red guitar, and a broken picture frame with a creepy picture.
Other special symbols of the game include that of the devil himself, a doll standing in the doorway, and the lead member of the band. The devil is the game’s Scatter symbol while the doll is the Bonus symbol. The band’s lead is the game’s Wild symbol and replaces all other symbols except for Bonus and Scatter.
Aside from a Free Spins round, this game also has a bonus round that can help break the monotony of spinning reels. There are also special feature that are launched during the base game which will help increase your winnings.
Free Spins – This is launched when three of the Scatter symbol appears on the reels. This lights-up the mansion the background on fire and 8 Free Spins are awarded to you. This is called the Set the World on Fire feature and it begins with an expanded wild on the first reel. Some of the spaces on the reels will light on fire. If the expanded wild lands on a lit space on the reel, it will trigger the Wild Fire feature. If a devil symbol appears on the reels, you get 2 more free spins added to your total.
Bonus Game – This is triggered by the appearance of three of the Bonus symbol on the reels. When this happens, you will be presented with a mess of dolls that are scattered all over the stairs inside the mansion. You will be asked to choose one doll for your win multiplier. If you don’t get a good multiplier, you can choose again until you run out of moves or you end up picking the devil, which ends the game without a prize.
Random Expanded Wild – This can happen anytime in the base game. When the frame of the game lights on fire, any wild symbol on the reels will convert into expanded wilds. These expanded wilds are sticky and will remain on the reels until you get a winning combination.
