The people have spoken. The shortlist for the 2019 Global Gaming Awards (GGA) Las Vegas has been confirmed, and the nominated companies are currently being contacted.
The GGA is now in their sixth year of recognising and rewarding companies in the gaming industry that have displayed operational excellence across the past 12-month period. A nomination in the GGA is already an outstanding achievement in and of itself. It is a clear indication that a company is one of the best in the world.
The shortlist is a result of a lengthy process that began with self-nomination, and then followed by recommendations from the Nominations Panel as well as the Gambling Insider editorial team. All companies on the shortlist will be given an opportunity to submit a supporting statement to the Judging Panel. The Panel is composed of some of the most esteemed executives in the industry. This year, there are over a hundred individuals who make up the Judging Panel.
The full list of nominees will be posted on this year’s GGA Las Vegas magazine, which will be sent to all Gambling Insider members. It will also be distributed at the G2E show. The voting process for the awards is adjudicated by the KPMG Isle of Man to ensure that there is full transparency.
Once the nomination process is completed, the Judging Panel will cast their votes. The winners will then be announced at a luncheon ceremony scheduled on October 14 at the Sands Expo Convention Center. The announcement of winners for the GGA Las Vegas will be part of the G2E show.
Other than the shortlist of nominated companies, the list of companies keen to take part in the GGA as sponsors has also been released. With these recent announcements, it is clear that all preparations for this year’s GGA Las Vegas presentation ceremony are near completion.
