Greentube's Deal with Rush Street Expands Their Colombia Ops

Aug 19

Online gambling content distributor Greentube just signed a new deal that expands their reach in Colombia’s regulated market and brings them closer to their goal of becoming the premier supplier across the entire Latin America.

The recent agreement they signed is with Rush Street Interactive (RSI), and the connection enables them to offer a selection of their online content in Colombia. Among the content they will start offering to the Colombian market are popular slots adopted from land-based casino titles like Lucky Lady’s Charm and Sizzling Hot Deluxe, as well as other types of games like 1-2-3 Bingo!, Apollo God of the Sun, Royal Crown Blackjack, and Royal Crown Roulette.

Greentube first stepped into the Colmbian market earlier this year when they signed a deal with local online operator Wplay.co. This was the official start of their foray into the LATAM region, and it was intended as a springboard that would launch the company across the entire region. It may also be worth noting that Greentube chose to partner with the first online operator licensed by Colombia’s gaming regulator after they updated their gambling laws last year.

Greentube is the main interactive small business arm of Austrian company NOVOMATIC. Their Head of Sales, Daniel Lechner has this to say about the deal: “RushBet.co is a great name to add to our operator network and we are excited to provide their customers with our most popular titles. Our partnership with RushBet.co will enable us to grow further in Colombia.”

RSI, which obtained their Colombian license in June of 2018, is the first U.S.-based company to become fully regulated in Colombia and the 10th company to acquire a license in the country in general. Its online platform, RushBet.co, was launched in the country in May of last year, offering online sports betting as well as casino games. The company has continued to increase its activity in Colombia since then.

With the addition of Greentube’s products, it is believed that RSI position in the country will improve even more. They say they are continuing to grow their market share in the country “by bringing players new and exciting offerings through partnerships with innovative gaming leaders.”

RSI Colombia General Manager Omar Calvo says, “We like to keep our players happy with our fun casino offerings and that’s why we recently won Casino Operator of the Year at the American Gambling Awards 2019 event and Mobile Operator of the Year in North America at this year’s prestigious EGR Awards. Greentube’s large portfolio has proven to be a favorite with diverse audiences and we expect our players at RushBet.co are going to love these new additions of popular land-based casino games.”

Colombia was the first South American country to implement their own nationwide online gambling regulations back in October of 2016, and their market has grown considerably since then. Coljuegos, the country’s gaming regulator, has granted 17 licenses from July of 2017. The number of licensees continues to grow and the Colombian market keeps getting stronger.
