BetConstruct's Live Casino Receives MGA Accreditation

Nov 29

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has given its approval to Soft Construct (Malta) Limited, trading as BetConstruct, to start supplying its Live Casino games to MGA-licensed operators and B2C customers.

For BetConstruct, Malta is a key jurisdiction. Being granted an MGA certification means the company now has the power to extend their scope of operation by offering a unique live casino both to operators and to those who also work under approval from MGA.

This license does not represent BetConstruct’s first foray into the regulated Maltese market, as they were already granted a poker license by the regulator in October 2018. Early this year, the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) gave the company a licensing permit to operate live dealer games in the country.

BetConstruct Head of Licensing and Certification Karine Kocharyan said, “The long-awaited accreditation granted by the Authority widens the path of our operation and the outcomes are yet to be enjoyed. Still, this milestone is another firm step made to strengthen our Live Casino and its game development that sees no limits in inspiration and creativity.”

This most recent license adds to the company’s attainments in the legal field. It allows BetConstruct to help their partner operators meet the requirements for running an igaming business in various regions. This Armenia-based company is now licensed to offer all four game types through the MGA for both B2B and B2C customers.

For BetConstruct, the license covers games of chance played against the house determined by a random generator, games played against the house that are not randomly determined, peer-to-peer games like poker, and skill games such as fantasy sports. Early in November, the company has also earned the approval of the UK Gambling Commission to offer betting on virtual events.

According to Kocharyan, this particular license allows them to develop important partnerships with third-party content providers to deliver virtual sports via their platform. She further says, “The approval from UKGC to offer betting on virtual events is another step forward for enlarging the portfolio for our UK customers. This license is also a good opportunity for us to strengthen the ongoing partnerships with our suppliers, and engage in new ones.”

To make their offerings more attractive, BetConstruct had added a number of games to their live dealer portfolio last October. One of the games they just released is Bet-on Teen Patti, which is a card game that originated in the 16th century and became quite popular in India. The company also added Red Dog to their roster, a classic card game that became part of the live dealer offer for the first time. A spokesman for the company said that Live Casino is one of their fastest-growing products and as such, it is the perfect environment for introducing games specific to the region.

BetConstruct has also signed an agreement with Pragmatic Play to further enhance their portfolio. Pragmatic has a Live Casino portfolio that is among the most esteemed and respected in the industry. And their catalog will be made available on BetConstruct platforms as a third-party content.
